How can I improve the Wi-Fi range of Linksys MX2001?
The MX2001 Wi-Fi range will be affected by wireless interference, physical impediments, and the location of the MX2001. To improve the Wi-Fi range, you can try the following:
- Place the MX2001 higher for better coverage.
- Move the MX2001 off the floor and away from walls and metal objects (e.g. metal file cabinets). Metal, wall and floor interfere with wireless signals. The closer your MX2001 is to these obstructions, the greater the interference, and the weaker the connection.
- Move the MX2001 away from electric devices such as Bluetooth, USB 3.0 devices, microwave, etc, which will radiate noise on the 2.4GHz band and affect the Wi-Fi range of the MX2001.
I am currently using a Starhub-provided wireless router (TP Link Deco X20, TP Link Archer C9, Linksys EA8100, etc), how can I proceed with getting additional mesh WiFi nodes?
Your current wireless router will be replaced by Linksys MX2001, and additional WiFi nodes given also will be Linksys MX2001.
