Augmented Reality with 5G

Augmented reality (AR) is an overlay of digital objects and information into a real-world field-of-view. It enhances a user’s view of the real-world with digital information.

AR is still a relatively niche technology that has not yet been adopted at scale. Part of this is due to challenges that can now be overcome by 5G and edge computing. With commercial deployment of 5G, AR can encompass a host of new use cases which, augmented by edge computing, will bring great value to industry and enterprises. The ultra-low latency and high bandwidth that 5G brings is crucial in enabling these use cases.

The pandemic has sped up digital transformation. Organisations have to embrace digitalisation to be more resilient to adversity.

With the global spread of COVID-19, people, organisations, institutions, and society were disrupted. New constraints, halted travel and closed borders have fundamentally altered the way we do business and interact with each other.

With travel restrictions and social distancing requirements:
