5G Smart Campus Innovation Collaboration with NUS
Together with NUS, we have piloted Singapore’s first outdoor WiFi powered by sustainable solar energy and 5G backhaul to complement the University’s indoor campus wireless network. Having also deployed StarHub 5G Standalone (SA) services, we are implementing our Internet of Things (IoT) solutions to enable the University to build new capabilities in facilities management, bolstering their operational efficiency, and bringing the University closer to their goal of becoming a Smart and Sustainable campus.

Use of mobile signals to improve rain prediction
In collaboration with research institute Hydroinformatics Institute (H2i), to provide an efficient and cost-effective way to supplement rainfall data from existing rain gauges through use of existing signal attenuation data.
