What is the Instant Buy feature about?

Instant Buy is a feature available on the Fibre TV set-top box which allows you to subscribe to additional channels / packs / passes instantly with your remote control. Do note that selected channels may not be available for subscription directly using Instant Buy.

How do I subscribe to a channel / pack / pass using this feature?

To subscribe to a channel / pack / pass using Instant Buy, simply follow these instructions:


  • Press the channel number you wish to subscribe to using your remote control.
  • When the on-screen prompt is displayed, press the BLUE button on your remote control to view the relevant subscription details.
  • To proceed with the subscription, press the OK button and select "OK" to confirm your subscription.
  • Upon successful transaction, the channel / pack / pass will be activated within 30 minutes and you can start enjoying these channels thereafter. The corresponding charges will be added to your StarHub TV monthly bill automatically.
  • If you are unable to view the newly subscribed channel / pack / pass, please reboot your Fibre TV set-top box to refresh.

Why can't I subscribe to Horse Racing Channels using the Instant Buy feature?

Horse Racing channels are only available to Singapore Pools Account (Horse Racing) holders. As these verifications cannot be automated, customers may contact the Singapore Pools Customer Service hotline directly at 6786 6688, or visit this link for more details.

Will the channel / pack / pass I subscribed to on the Fibre TV set-top box be activated on my additional set-top boxes automatically?

Yes, any channel / pack / pass you subscribe to on the Fibre TV set-top box will be automatically activated on your additional set-top boxes on the same day. If you are unable to view the newly subscribed channel / pack / pass, please reboot your additional Fibre TV set-top boxes to refresh.

How can I prevent accidental purchases by my children or other family members?

You can enable the Purchase Lock feature to prevent accidental purchases by other family members.

To enable the Purchase Lock:


  • Press MENU on your remote control and navigate to Settings.
  • Under Settings, select Parental Control.
  • Enter the Parental PIN to access the Parental Control settings. Note that if you have not changed the Parental PIN, the default PIN would be “000000”.
  • Under Parental Control settings, select Purchase Lock and press the LEFT / RIGHT arrow button to check the setting from Disabled to Enabled.
  • Press BACK or EXIT to save the changes.
  • Once Purchase Lock is enabled, you will be prompted to enter the Parental PIN first if you wish to use the Instant Buy feature.

Can I terminate the subscription of any channels using this feature?

No, this feature only supports the addition of channels / packs / passes to your StarHub TV subscription. If you wish to modify your TV subscription, please login to My Account Manager with your Hub iD.
