What is a StarHub Device Plan?

A Device Plan – as the title might suggest, is a postpaid, 2-year contract-based mobile phone plan that comes with a device of your choice. Of course, you’ll have to pay a portion of the device cost upfront, but there are several advantages to choosing this option.

Currently, StarHub offers four different Device Plan options (we’ll check them out shortly!), all of which include staples like mobile data, talktime, and SMS plus some extra bonuses, like free data roaming in Asia Pacific and other global destinations.

• Talktime: 1,000 outgoing mins + free incoming calls
• SMS: 600

Equipped with significantly more talktime than Device Plan S, Device Plan M is ideal for users who rely heavily on calls for work and leisure. Additionally, the bonus roaming data here extends to all globally supported destinations, which certainly opens up more travel options.
 

3. Device Plan L

• Mobile Data: 300 GB
• Talktime: 1,800 outgoing mins + free incoming calls
• SMS: 800

Still not enough? We’ve got that covered. Device Plan L offers a sizable boost to all aspects over Device Plan M, and even includes an additional 1 GB of roaming data for good measure.

Like the latter, this extends to all globally supported destinations, making it the perfect fit for folks who enjoy quick overseas jaunts to Malaysia, Thailand, and Japan, just to name a few.
 

4. Device Plan XL
 

• Cost: $185/mth
• Mobile Data: 350 GB
• Talktime: 2,200 outgoing mins + free incoming calls

• Bonus: 3 GB Roaming Data (Global)
   

The ultimate Device Plan. Users who select Device Plan XL will enjoy the absolute highest amount of monthly mobile data, talktime, and SMS offered by StarHub, as well as 3 GB of roaming data to all supported destinations around the world. It’s perfect for heavy-duty streaming, surfing, and gaming even on the go.

Why should you consider a Device Plan?

1. Enjoy vastly increased mobile data

Specifically, Device Plan S subscribers will enjoy 1 GB of roaming data to Asia Pacific destinations, while Device Plan M, L and XL subscribers will have 1 GB, 2 GB, and 3 GB of roaming data to global destinations respectively.

In fact, you won’t even have to worry about activating your free data roaming. This will automatically be done when you subscribe to Device Plan, so that’s one less issue for you to worry about. We want you to be able to enjoy the best experiences, and that includes connecting seamlessly to local networks when travelling to supported destinations. Naturally, you’ll also be able to turn it off at any time via the settings on your brand-new phone.

3. Superior to our old Mobile+ 2-year plans
 

In addition to offering significantly more mobile data compared to their corresponding Mobile+ counterparts (sometimes more than double!) and that neat splash of roaming data, all Device Plan options will also utilise StarHub’s ultrafast 5G network. That means faster speeds, less lag and better online experiences as a whole.
